Our Switzerland journey really began in March, when Lindsey received an incredible job offer that opened the door to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our family. Over the following months, she made several trips back and forth to Europe, helping lay the groundwork while we imagined what life abroad might look like. Eventually, we all had the chance to visit Basel together—touring schools, exploring neighborhoods, and even choosing the house that will be our home for the next two years. While we’ll save the story of bringing Brooks along for another post, the kids are already excited about the adventures, travel, and new experiences ahead. As departure gets closer, we’re feeling a mix of excitement and nerves, but mostly gratitude for the opportunity to begin this new chapter together.
